The international guide Lonely Planet wrote in Best in Travel 2016 about Iseo lake and the Christo’s opera, The Floating Piers, like the place to be in 2016. From June 18th to July 3rd 2016 you can be part of this artistic installation and live a huge experience.
In the morning you will meet your guide at 9.30 at the Borgonato train station. Here your guide will introduce you about Franciacorta region.
Then you will visit a famous Franciacorta cellar, where Franciacorta was born.
Your guide will explain about the Franciacorta method during the visit of the old cellar where you can see the barriques and the pupitres.
During the tastings of 2 Franciacorta wines, Brut and Rosé, you will enjoy freshly-baked local artisanal food specialties.
After the visit of the cellar you will arrive by train at the second stop of the day: a medieval castle where, with the guide, you will visit the Italian garden and the frescoed rooms.
At the end of the tour of the castle you’ll taste 2 typical wines of the area: Curtefranca red wine and Curtefranca white wine.
A few steps from the castle the lunch is served in a typical restaurant, where you can enjoy the Italian cuisine in a elegant setting. The menù is:

In the afternoon, with the train, you’ll reach Sulzano and then, on foot on the piers Montisola. Here you have free time to visit the island and you can take your way back to the departure train station when you prefer. The trains to Brescia leaves from Sulzano every 30 min, until 23.45.
